Kowharewa Bay — Attraction in Northland

It’s a great little bay, quiet & good to be able to stay overnight…unfortunately the thing that does go against this beauty is the rubbish people leave behind as in dead fish/bones, general rubbish(paper/plastic cartons etc) this makes walking your dog a danger & hazard. There’s a sign that says “no bins no rubbish clean beach” sorry but no, if there’s to be a clean beach rubbish are need for waste so people don’t throw it everywhere. Come on local council sort this problem. Please enjoy this bay everyone but be mindful….it’s a beach for all not...

Awesome place swimming kayaking just beautiful. Just Fantastic to relax and chill out. So people if you travel to WHANGAREI NZ come on up to NORTHLAND and visit . Kowharewa Bay you have to go and see for yourself. Plenty to see IN and Around WHANGAREI just cruise around. Your cellphone will show you all you want to know. It's easy to do everything wiith a GOOGLE MAP SEARCH...You will be at your destination in no time. So people if you travel to WHANGAREI NZ check out this awesome town. NAUMAI HAERE MAI ki...

Great bay..but i wonder if thr authorities saw that there were 4 snapper fishes were seen rotten..almost like semi skeleton form.. washed ashore..its good for kayaking..but the rocks are very sharp with mussels shell..wear good shoes..my little girl went barefoot and her feet...
