When I got there this company had their work utes and trailers parked in the parking and I had to park far and walk back. There was a sign that said canopy walk, but it doesn't say that it leads to the waterfall. I started walking it, but then saw another viewing platform to my left, so I backtracked to the carpark. This entry is blocked by all the company cars parked there. This was a short walk to the viewing platform, but there is nothing to view except for another viewing platform higher up to the right, and some trees. It looks like the first canopy walk I was on was right, but from that platform I was on, it looked steep. It also doesn't say it goes to the viewing platform, so I don't want to walk it and not get rewarded. So I gave up.

This waterfall is pretty and tall. It is not as big as some we’ve seen so far. It’s super easy to access. At this time of year we couldn’t see the waterfall from the first overlook but just follow the McKinnon track sign . The best overlook is just a few hundred feet and an easy walk on a good path. You can go further to do the full walk but we stopped at the overlook

Very easy to access & if you walk from Whangarei Falls, it's a really interesting & fun walk with lots to see along the way, including the impressive large kauri! I think most people aren't even aware of this place as the tourist hotspot is definitely Whangarei Falls, but this is equally as much worth a visit! https://youtu.be/4fnoJXW0IRc?si=mmGaSjAz1RKfgN84
