Ripiro Beach is a sandy stretch on the west coast of Northland, New Zealand, extending from Pouto Peninsula in the south to Maunganui Bluff in the north. At 66 miles long it is the longest driveable beach in New Zealand, longer than the more famous, but erroneously named Ninety Mile Beach further north.

I think driving on the beach is the main attraction here. Wasn’t really that impressed with the beach itself. Nice sand and plenty of room, but the scenery isn’t spectacular. Water was a bit murky as well. I wouldn’t go too far out of your way to see this beach. There’s a little cafe near the beach that was nice, though!

I think driving on the beach is the main attraction here. Wasn’t really that impressed with the beach itself. Nice sand and plenty of room, but the scenery isn’t spectacular. Very nice beach with beautiful surroundings. Water bit rough for swimming during our visit, but still a great afternoon enjoyed at the water....
