On my first visit to Arrowtown and Queenstown, a local friend of mine got up early on my last morning there to go to the gym and asked if I wanted to join her. I was keen so we hopped in the car and we headed towards Frankton from Arrowtown. On the scenic drive into town, she pointed out this circuit and said we could do it next time I visited. Beautiful sunny morning, but snow still on the mountains - couldn't resist. Already dressed for a workout, I asked to be dropped off on the side of the road so I could do it there and then. She continued on to the gym and I walked/ran the circuit. Best decision ever! NZ at it's best - stunning scenery and views around the whole lake, other runners and cyclists on the track so I felt very safe. A very memorable run! Highly recommended if you have a few hours to spare! My friend was on her way back along the main road just as I'd completed the circuit so I caught a ride back. Perfect...
