My wife and I had a wine tasting today at Nockies Palette and Stoneridge Cellars.

We were guided through the tasting by Beatrice, who was delightful and knowledgeable, not only about the wine but about the vineyard itself.

This is one of the best tastings we have ever had. It was Beatrice's genuine and unpretentious expertise and enthusiasm for the wine that made it so informative and enjoyable. Beatrice knows Nockies and Stoneridge wines well and some of the factors that make them unique.

What marked out this tasting was Beatrice's ability to communicate the criteria for judging what makes a good wine as distinct from a wine that suits a particular palate. This is very rare in our experience and was very helpful to us.
