Awaroa Organic Vineyard — Attraction in Waiheke

This was the first stop on our wine tour and at first glance our group was wandering where the vineyard was (was not near the shop), the small lawn was unkept, there were no other patrons there or arriving in the 1 hour we were there but some of the group was asked not to sit on some of the other more comfortable seats, the man who spoke about the wines and the history of the wine etc got the translation of the maori words Awaroa and Awaawaroa quite wrong. It felt more like a shed on the side of the road than a wine...

Fantastic wine and organic!! Sarah and Lyn were fantastic hosts. I was very impressed with their knowledge (I have visited many Vineyards in NZ and Overseas, Sarah was the most knowledgeable!! I purchased 2 cases of the 2019 Cab Sav Mal Merlot absolutely the most Delicious Red I have tasted for a very long time! I also joined their Wine Club and received 20% off my purchases. Win Win...
