The Palace of the Oba of Benin could be described as one in a million, where culture and traditions are held in the highest esteem. Located in the heart of Benin, the palace today is confined to less than one kilometre square land space, as part of it was said to have been ceded to the British for administrative purpose ,during the reign of Oba Eweka II. The Cultural Centre, National Museum and Monument, Oba’s Market, and Oredo Local Government Secretariat were said to be part of the palace in the past.. It was learnt that the palace was moved to its present location in 1255 AD, by Oba Ewedo, the fifth Oba of Benin. Prior to the relocation, the palace was at Usama where the coronation of new Obas takes place till date.

The Palace is the administrative quarters and residence of the oba of benin. The current Oba is his Royal Majesty, Omo N'Oba Ewuare II. The palace is a revered traditional milieu. It is a preservation of the benin culture. With a guided tour one can learn about the history of the Palace, the Obas and the Benin monarchy. It is a sacred place and has dos and don'ts which includes no wearing of black, no carrying of palm fruits, no whistling, no dogs

The Oba title was created for the Head of State (Emperor) of the Benin Empire at some time between 1180 and 1300. The Oba of Benin's palace is the palace of the Oba and the present Oba is the Oba Ewuare II (born October 20, 1953) and was crowned the Oba of Benin on 20 October 2016. He is the 40th Oba. Visiting the palace, there are a lot of protocols to follow as greetings to the Oba is not a joke. Everyone must kneel to greet the Oba

I am pleased with the Oba of Benin modernation of the old palace, and other things that he is doing IN BENIN KINGDOM, Edo state, Nigeria.

But, I have a troubling question for the Oba. DID HE KNOWS THAT EDO STATE IS TAKEN FROM NIGERIA MAP, REPLACED BY IBO??

This is not right, nor acceptable to the people of EDO STATE, NIGERIA.

First of all, ANCIENT BENIN HOUSES IN IBIWIE STREET WERE DESTROYED. And, TURNED INTO MARKET PLACE FOR DUBIOUS REASONS BY THE UNCULTURED, and Processed new GENERATIONS.

Because, this was done to hide the truth, or COVERED UP both SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL PAST OF THE NARRATIVE OF THE POWER, AND STANDING OF BENIN/EDO PEOPLE IN WORLD HISTORY.

FURTHERMORE, THE WORST IS TO HIDE THE TRUTH, and the FACT THAT THE EARLIEST OBAS WERE NOT HUMAN. BUT, THEY WERE GODS THAT CAME FROM ABOVE TO EARTH REALM.

IN ANCIENT SUMER THERE WERE GODS LIKE THESE THAT CAME FROM ABOVE TO EARTH REALM IN ANCIENT SUMERIAN HISTORY.

AND, THEY WERE CALLED THE ANNUAKIS, WHILE, BENIN/EDO KINGDOM ONES WERE "OGIESOS" THEY HAVE CONNECTION WITH THE OBAS OF BENIN KINGDOM.

ALSO, THE EARLIER OBAS HAVE CONNECTION WITH THE RUSSIAN ROYALTY.

THESE ARE FEW THAT ARE BEING HIDDEN FROM THE WORLD ABOUT ANCIENT MIGHTY BENIN/EDO PEOPLES.

SO, PLEASE LET THE CURRENT OBA, THE TRADITIONAL HEADS, AND SCHOLARS LOOK INTO ALL THESE WAYS TO WIPE BENIN/EDO PEOPLES FROM BOTH THE NIGERIA HISTORY and MAPS.

THANKS, BENIN/EDO PEOPLES ARE NOT SIMPLY DOESN'T EXIST, AS IT'S MET TO BE IN THE EYES OF THE WORLD and,...
