Ossuary Monument - Kosturnica — Attraction in Municipality of Veles

One of the most magnificent places in Veles for me. It is an art structure that provokes fantasy and a monument to remember history. It also offers an incredible view of the city and the area. Especially if you climb up the hill, then a view will open of vast space all over. The monument is very photogenic and a real treat for photo-enthusiasts. But there are several downsides. It is hardly likely that you will find it open to enter inside the building unless you make an announcement. The monument has been vandalised and some things of the original monument are missing. After having travelled to (N.) Macedonia, I have the feeling they would be a WAY better place for locals and tourists if they spent half of the energy they use for their "naming" battles into actually presenting and preserving what that name should contain.
