The bunker at the Jentofthaugen was built in 1943 by the German occupation force and it was used as a transmission station for Luftwaffe. It is Bodø's largest concrete bunker and to the casting it went with 1300m3 concrete, Walls and ceilings are 2 meters thick. In the post-war period, both the Civil Defense and the Home Guard have used the facility. In the summer of 2014, the war-historical association Bodø, in cooperation with the municipality of Bodø, took over the bunker for the purpose of repairing it. 3 years and many hundreds (thousands) of hours of passionate enthusiasts have really produced results. Now the bunker appears as very well maintained and contains a war history museum in addition to being a gathering place for up to approx. 20 people. We do guided tours on request. Il faut envoyer un mail à l'avance pour réserver une visite guidée en anglais. Elle coûte 300 nok pour deux personnes. Ne vous présentez pas devant le bunker sans avoir réservé, car en temps normal il est fermé. L'intérieur du bunker est entièrement refait et vaut vraiment le coup d'œil, géré par une association de passionnés qui enrichit en permanence la collection. Rien n'est écrit en français donc il faut comprendre l'anglais...
