The Lyngen Stairs Review:
The Lyngen Stairs, officially opened by Kristin Harila on August 19th, 2023, offer a remarkable hiking experience in Lyngen, Norway. These stairs consist of more than 1,200 steps and are part of a trail system designed to challenge and reward hikers with breathtaking views and a solid workout. The first viewpoint is at the top of Glaværfilla (270 meters above sea level), followed by a scenic spot at Verdens Ende (The End of the World, 468 meters). For those eager for more, the trail extends to Rundtinden (900 meters).
Constructed by Sherpas from Khunde, Nepal, the Lyngen Stairs demand a moderate level of physical fitness, making it an ideal activity for health enthusiasts. The trail is well-equipped with stone benches, offering ample resting points.
In addition to the stunning vistas, the Lyngen Stairs play a role in promoting sustainable tourism, aligning with several UN sustainability goals. This hike also encourages visitors to be mindful of the local reindeer herding practices and leash restraint regulations for dogs.
The Lyngen Stairs provide not only an exceptional outdoor adventure but also contribute significantly to physical well-being and environmental awareness. Highly recommended for nature lovers and fitness seekers alike, this hike promises an unforgettable experience with its majestic landscapes and thoughtful...
