Sorheim Brygge — Hotel in Lyngen

We found this marvel of a place via www.dintur.com and we were blown away with the natural beauty of the area as well as the establishment. It is quant with all you need for this part of the world. We came during winter (planned) and it was a great experience. We were in Tromso before but this far surpasses our previous experience due to the less commercialized approach of the area. Our host was a star and nothing was too much trouble. He even came to collect us one night in search of the Northern Lights unexpectedly. We had limited success but on our return we had the most wonderful show right in front of our home. I wish my camera skills could match the splendor but sadly the image will only stay in my head. He also arranged dog sledging locally and that was absolutely brilliant!||||It is really a place that I will recommend! I hope I can return here...

It is located some 300 m from the supermarket Rema and is right on the sea front. We enjoy the view from our cabin, looking out at the Lnyngenalps and the harbour. The sunset was superb as the weather was good. It has been snowing quite a bit and I am waiting for the sunrise (hopefully). The owner provided us with BBQ facilities, free of charge, in a small wooden cabin near our own cabin. It seated comfortably our group of 12. He started the fire and we brought along the food and drinks. Wifi is available in a main cabin next to our cabin (sleeping six in three rooms) and is reachable from our own cabin if we are seated close...

I recommend Sørgeim Brygge for everyone wanting to visit Lyngen! the cabins it itself are beautiful and the view is spectacular :) The family running the cabins and the local bar is so nice! |In comparison to all the other hotel types in the area (excluding Airbnb rentals) this is the absolute favorite!
