Este monumento fue hecho en junio de 1989 por el artista Simon Flem Devold, la artista Eva Rybakken y siete niños. Este monumento simboliza la paz, la alegría, la esperanza y la amistad entre los niños y las naciones del mundo. En este monumento, la artista Eva Rybakken creo la parte de "madre e hijo" en la cual el hijo, al parecer pide a la madre lo deje ir hacia el resto del monumento que son siete relieves circulares creados por los niños mencionados anteriormente, cada niño colaboró con uno de esos relieves.
