The sled experience was sooo fun! One if the best experiences and a MUST do in norway. Don’t expect it to be that easy ride. It is fast, and you should be careful you can harm yourself. There are some places where you can hit trees and fall down in a small valley! There are no staff to guide you through the start of the ride. Nobody gave us advice of renting a helmet nobody gave us some tips and recommendation, basically they give you the sled and that’s it. On the way down no security or safety staff are on the way and I think they should take this ride more seriously since it can be dangerous ( add safety staff as well and add safety materials on both sides of the sled ). There is a risk of injury. Not recommended for children and elderly and people with back pain. Rent a helmet, take the ride seriously and enjoy! It takes about 10min to get down, easy to rent the sled and not very expensive about 15USD per person. You can do it again as much as you want without paying again the 15USD. Once you reach the bottom, A train will get you back on the top (...

Came here to sled. Super fun and worth it - takes about 10 min to rent a sled and helmet (150kr for those of us over 5 feet), 10 min to get down the hill, and 20 min on the train back up that runs every 15 minutes. The metro from central oslo takes about 40 min through pretty neighborhoods and great fjord views. Make sure you have good snow pants and gloves. The hill is at times terrifyingly fast. Lean the OPPOSITE direction you want to go to steer or use your feet. One warning we didn’t get: the rental places and restaurant are definitely not right off the train stop, they’re 250m down a steep snowy hill you also have to climb back up. Bring good shoes. The lodge looks fabulous, the food is okay. All in all so glad we did this, super unique way to spend a morning...

Must do experience when visiting Oslo in the winter. We caught the train from Oslo centre to the end of the line where we hired sleds. It was about 150NOK per sled from memory. They also provide you with a helmet. Best to go early when the hire shop opens around 10am as the track can get icy with how busy it gets. You take the track down on your sled and catch the train back up to start again. Lots of fun! Nice little Cafe at the top but it too gets really busy. We couldn't get a table once purchasing our food. So I suggest lingering around and getting a table first before...

Just the view on the way to get to the place is worth your time and your decision to make it, then there is more, much more. I never had so much fun for such a cheap price. One of the best experiences ever. You really need to get there as early as possible, then you can enjoy the day as much as you want. You don't want to regret getting there too late. There is a restaurant with such a beautiful view, you also want to take a break, get a snack and enjoy the view. By the way, I managed to come three times, yes, three times, no less than 6h each. IT'S A MUST DO IF YOU ARE IN OSLO :)
