Incredibly beautiful to watch the midnight sun, it is however full of people as it is quite popular so go early to make sure you get the best spot. There is a parking fee to pay which is quite cheap for the day, what disappointed me a little is that you have to pay for camping on the beach, this would not be an issue normally but if I am to pay to camp somewhere I expect it to be at least clean from all the sheep discharge left around. It doesn't seem to be a problem to have a person to collect money, however a person to clean the beach would be a good idea, if it was a free camping area, this would not bother me at all, but since it isn't... Regardless, it is...

Picturesque location, accessible on foot – on the left, walking path, or on the right, mountain route, as well as by car. Parking fee is charged automatically after driving through the tunnel, regardless of the time of parking. This location is characterized by a unique microclimate, with fog and drizzle in early spring, reminiscent of a setting from a fantasy novel. The beach, covered with moss, rocky coast, a small village with summer markets – all this creates a unique charm, enriched by original and at the same time humorous landscape elements, such as a rock formation resembling the eye of a dragon....

READ BEFORE YOU GO: I can't tell anything about the beach itself, but it is paid parking (which is fine imo) and we decided not to go since the weather wasn't great. Little did we know there is a camera that directly sends a fine for not paying the parking fee if you go past it, even if you decide to turn around before the actual parking. The fine was around 10 euro's, but because we had a rental Hertz put another 30 euro's administration costs. This problem with the camera must be fixed in my opinion, because this is not fair. We paid 40 euros for not seeing a beach...

Amazing beach located in Lofoten. You have to go through a short tunnel (600 metres) to get to this beautiful area where you can watch the Aurora at night and enjoy the majestic mountains and empty beach by the day. There's a small community of farmers living here and the beach area are popular among campers who want to spend the night for a small fee. There are bathrooms and water supply as part of the amenities. You can also walk around the mountain or along the beach. Easily one of my favourite places in Lofoten, Norway.
