Jebel Akhdar, also known as the Green Mountain, is a mountain range in the Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate of Oman. It is one of the highest mountains in Oman, reaching a height of 2,980 meters (9,780 feet). The mountain range is known for its mild Mediterranean climate, which allows for the growth of a variety of crops, including pomegranates, apricots, and roses. Jebel Akhdar is also home to a number of traditional villages, as well as the Birkat al-Mawz, a pool of water that is said to have healing properties.
