Al Noman Zoo — Attraction in Al Batinah South Governorate

This is the only zoo in Oman. The place near bark. Spacious parking facility. The price of one person is 2.000 OMR. There were glasses of snakes, rugs, and so on. In each of the nests the animals of different species of birds, woodpeckers, foxes, rabbits, giant cats and wild dogs are different. There are plenty of places to shop and small shops. The best way to spend a family dinner. There are various kinds of birds, ducks, poultry, ostrich, chicken and duck, monkey and other species. Here is the king of the desert camel and the king of the forest lion. Here we see most creatures such as horse, tiger and donkey. Accommodation is also available. 30 Rial is rented for 1 day. Suite rooms and deluxe rooms.

But the lack of cleanliness is a major obstacle here. Even though the family is a place to visit, the children do not have ice cream parks or water parks. There is a stupidity because animals are not well maintained. Every place is shrouded in clutter. There are no board boards on the way without Google map facility.

It's an okay zoo to be honest nothing fancy but disappointed by the animal treatment. Its appalling to say the least. The animals don't look happy, they're all tired and weak looking. Most of the times just sleeping about (except for the monkeys and goats). Doesn't look like there's any maintenance on the facility nor does it look like there's a vet checking on the animals health and wellbeing. Such a shame considering the amount of zoo's in the country are countable by hand. Low rating purely for the lack of care of the animals, only reason for the 2 star is 1 star for the zoo and another star for the animals inside the zoo. Pay attention to the animals, zoo is suppose to teach our kids caring for the ones who are unable to care for themselves, not show young kids negligence and parents end up facing awkward questions like "why does the camel look sick" & "why are the birds...

What? A zoo at Barka region with various domestic and wild birds and animals. Children and people of all ages used to enjoy zoo! Students can learn habitats of animals and gather practical knowledge from here!

Fees? Adult 2.5 OMR each Child 2.0 OMR each ( age below 15) School children 0.800 baiza (in group)

Special? A small section at the middle with rabbit, peacock, Macaws, that you can enter and have a touch and capture nice picture with the macaw on your arm and shoulder! Worth 500baiza extra.

Cautions! Not well organized and absolute deficiency of Cleanliness, bed smell around all cages! Even in the ducks cage not a drop of water! Very poor aeration that is harmful to animals and human as well.
