Safari Zoo Lahore, also known as Lahore Wildlife Park or Lahore Safari Park, is a large and well-known wildlife attraction located on Raiwind Road. It offers a mix of natural beauty, wildlife experiences, and recreational space, making it a popular spot for families, students, and nature lovers.
One of the highlights of Safari Zoo is the drive-through safari, where visitors can see lions, tigers, deer, zebras, and other animals roaming freely in enclosed but natural-looking habitats. Itās an exciting experience, especially for children, as it feels more adventurous than traditional zoo enclosures. The lion safari is particularly famous, giving people a chance to see big cats up close while staying safe in their own vehicles or park transport vans.
The zoo section itself is home to a variety of animals and birds, including peacocks, parrots, ostriches, bears, and monkeys. While the number of animals isnāt as large as some international wildlife parks, the variety is decent enough to keep visitors engaged. The lake inside the park adds to its scenic charm, and boating facilities are also available for those who want a more relaxed activity.
Safari Zoo also has large green lawns, picnic areas, and walking tracks, making it suitable for a full-day family outing. Many visitors bring their own food and enjoy open-air picnics under the shade of trees. There are also food stalls and small shops inside the zoo selling snacks, drinks, and toys.
The entry ticket is affordable, which makes it accessible to people from all walks of life. However, on weekends and public holidays, the place can get very crowded, so itās better to visit on weekdays if you want a more peaceful experience.
Despite its popularity, Safari Zoo Lahore is not without flaws. Some of the enclosures are outdated and could use renovation. Cleanliness and maintenance in certain areas ā especially around washrooms and food stalls ā could be improved. Occasionally, animals look tired or bored, which raises questions about their care and enclosure conditions. More trained staff and better animal welfare practices would enhance the overall quality of the park.
Parking is available but can get congested during rush hours. Also, directional signage inside the park could be improved for better visitor guidance.
In terms of safety and regulations, the zoo maintains decent security, and the safari experience is well-monitored. Still, visitors should follow the rules and avoid littering or teasing the animals.
In conclusion, Safari Zoo Lahore offers an enjoyable and educational experience, especially for families with children. Itās a refreshing place away from city noise where you can connect with nature and see wildlife in an open setting. With a bit more investment in maintenance and animal care, it could become one of the finest wildlife parks in...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt was used to be excellent place. Best for kids and families. It was truly a refreshing treat on weekends.
The upgradation has ruined everything!!!
They have turned a natural beauty into horrible nightmare.
1st) one cannot take car inside this huge park. Which makes it impossible to travel on foot in this huge park. Mohsin Naqvi has ruined it !!!
they have electric car safari. Which they think is better substitute of private car. Which is fairly wrong and deceiving. These cars have preallocated routes which does not guarantee entertainment and comfort. It becomes nightmare when you have been accompanied by a old human on a wheelchair.
the wheelchairs are faulty and totally unreasonable. Someone purely senseless in Park's management, has thought that one would easily travel on wheelchair in this huge park. It is impossible and tiring for the old man and his family. Literally horrifying!!!!
that managerial level fool did not even think that wheelchair cannot be used on tuff tiles, pavers.
the contractor has clearly used substandard tuff tiles.
we paid around 2400 rupees for this stupid overrated experience.
the lion safari is another fool's masterpiece. They are using cages, mounted on toyota Vigo for the people who want to see lions. One cannot sit in those cages. Even the lions would be laughing to see such innovation. 2 years ago they had small coaster bus which was fairly good as compare to this non sense. One could have sit atleast.
the fish aquarium gate is another mark of corruption. It does not work properly..it cannot sense a person and close itself down regardless if person is inside it or not.
They had a beautiful cage full of birds but now it is empty.
they don't have elephant.
they have dozens of deers. Few ostrich, few Zebra, TWO MONKEYS.
THAT IS IT !!!!
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. DONT VISIT THIS UTTERLY USELESS PLACE.
The only good thing about this place was this dinosaur......
