So... The beach is nice. But I won't recommend it. They have fisher boats a few meters from tables = ppl that are swimming there. They clean fish they caught right there - throwing all the "waste" into the water, again, few meters from where you're swimming. Loads of garbage beside the tables. And in the sand.
Another thing, they wait for you on the road, show you where to park and let you know that you park at the restaurant, no idea what's the name. They say you have to order from the restaurant. No problem, we said, but can we place an order later on? The answer was yes. Few mins later, while some of us were swimming, and others were at the table, we were approached and told (in a rude manner) that we can't stay if we don't order. So we ordered. Shrimps + 2 ceviches for $25. While at the beach that is 10 mins away we paid $12 for shrimps, plantains, coconut and 2 hot dogs.
Resume: calm water, you have a shower + toilet. People are not too nice to tourists here. Not super dirty like at Panama city beach, but not clean. Fisher boats + fish guts is not what you want to see while you're swimming. We've been there once and will...
Read moreSmall beautiful beach that contains a popular restaurant with small hotel in the form of cabins. This is ideal for people who want to enjoy a beach with the option of food and huts with seats and tables directly on the sand.
It is not a secluded beach devoid of life. Along your walk on the sand you will pass by the restaurant, huts and modern residences.
One of the best things you can do is stay overnight in one of the cabins. They are directly on the sand. The hotel has security guards at night. That could explain why my night time walks have felt safe even when wondering into the dark areas of the beach.
All my times here have been very pleasant without any incidences. Most of the visitors are families and not rowdy teenagers.
The parking lots are part of the restaurant. But don't feel obligated to buy anything there. Simply walk through the facilities and...
