I was with the other recent reviewers at this trail and I saw the reply from the owner. I figured I'd add a few things worth mentioning:
it was not closed as the reply claimed
nobody said it was closed, in fact both people we spoke to said it was open (and so does Google)... instead they tried to charge $5 per person. That's ok, they can try to charge whatever they wish, as this is private property, but then that's exactly why we can write reviews, so others know that it is (apparently only for certain people) $5 for a 20 minute walk... They can make their own decision on whether that is worth it.
The people present were in no way "abusive" as the reply claimed. In fact, we were quite cordial and politely replied that we had always paid $3 in the past, and that if it was $5 each person, we'd go to a different trail. Nothing rude on our side of the conversation at all
If you want to see a tiny waterfall and pay that much for walking a dirt road for 20 minutes, that's ok too
Edit to add: not sure why the replier for this place is doubling down on saying they were closed, instead of addressing the fact that the owner literally quoted us a price to hike their road. In any case, I guess they decided to close for COVID today. That is good because it will save people from catching COVID in the fresh air of the...
Read moreI don't know why all of the reviews (many are old reviews) claim this is a great trail. It's a 20 minute hike on a dirt road, not a trail, through farmland, and then you arrive at a small waterwall. Nothing special.
Although I'm a local and have paid $3 for this trail in the past (not worth it either), I tried to bring my visiting family, and the lady at the head of the trail tried to charge $5 per person! I explained that I'm a local and that I had never paid $5, nor would I be willing to pay that for a 20 minute hike in farmlands. She was rude, and we left. Absolutely a waste of time. Go to one of the other beautiful trails and save your money from this short,...
