Hola! Es increíble que no haya una ruta turística para el cerro San Cristobal. Fue toda una aventura llegar, pero valió la pena, la vista es maravillosa. Llegamos alrededor de la 1 a la alameda de los descalzos y tuvimos la suerte de conocer a Gabriela, una mototaxista del paradero local, que conocía la zona. Nos llevó y esperó unos veinte minutos, por 30 soles. No es recomendable subir a pie si no eres local. Arriba se encuentra el museo de sitio y la famosa cruz. Un señor nos tomó e imprimió una foto por 6 soles, en menos de 3 minutos.

The view is not great but it's impressive to see the huge dimensions of Lima. The place is abandoned since there are no tourist buses going up there anymore. You can get a Taxi or Uber to bring you up. Make sure that the taxi is waiting, else you would have to wait a long time or descend by foot, which is not recommended as you would have to walk 30 minutes...

Some gang affiliated junkies tried to rob me at knife point on my way up to the top. Things worked out but I stupidly fought back and beat the crap out of them with a brick and luckily didn’t loose my phone wallet and passport. Seems like there is a lot of organized gang activity in the slums on the way up. Would not recommend due to...

We took a bus to the flower market at the foot of the hill. Asked a policeman there how best to go up and if its safe. They suggested taxi. We took a tuk tuk. Nice ride going up through a community. Lovely view at the top. Stayed there about 20 minutes and a tuk tuk brought us back. I would have felt safe...
