Pisac is a beautiful archaeological site and worth it's own visit rather than part of a tour with other sites. You can catch a taxi or collectivo from Cusco into Pisac town, then cross the bridge and either hike up or take one of the waiting taxis to the top entrance. Make sure you negotiate the price before you get in.
There will be the standard market stalls and people with things to sell on the way in (hot food when you come back out is appreicated). Entry is on the Boleto Touristico and the best time to visit for space and lack of crowds is early in the morning.
There is plenty of advice for how to move around the ruins online but just take your time and make at least half a day of it. A tour group will rush you around and show you a limited amount of the site but it is worth spending some quality time taking it all in.
You can either take a taxi back down or just walk back down to the town when you are finished. Then spend the rest of the day wandering around this interesting little place, maybe eating at the market before buying souvenirs. They are mostly the same souvenirs you see all over...

You will also see a picture with rock look closely because those holes in the rock are/were burial ruins. To note, as Pisac grew with population, terraces would be added for the...
Read moreAmazing ruins! I probably liked this place even more than Machu Picchu. So nice and peaceful, with lots of history behind every wall. Almost no people! We started the hike from the main square in Pisac all the way up. Not too difficult but better take it slow. Breathtaking views all around! Important: tickets are 70S for 2 days or 130S for 10 days. The last one covers many sites in Sacred...
