URKU ARE PAYING FOR GOOD REVIEWS look at the review history of all the people leaving 5* reviews in the last 4 days. Everyone has been to the same exact places in lots of different towns and given 5* reviews! Very suspicious! The ocelot is in a tiny cage with no privacy, nothing. The woman guiding us said something vague about a new cage for the ocelot but they say that to everyone who questions the abysmal living conditions, and gaslight people on these reviews saying it's not an animal abuse problem, it's a language barrier problem. It's just so everyone visiting can take photos of this beautiful animal, which is hard to find in the wild and impossible to find in the daytime. I may only work with "domestic" house/feral cats but the ocelot was not happy at all and has been stuck in that box for at least 3 years. PLEASE PLEASE give it more space, it is not a prop! Pretty much every other animal had a bigger cage. This broke my heart, for a "rescue" they have simply condemned this ocelot to boredom and being an involuntary star turn in a photography parade....

They prioritize rehabilitation and balance respecting and understanding the animals, their preferences & behaviors, while recognizing the human-made threats (poaching/trafficking, deforestation/degradation) in their natural environments they face while roaming free. They’ve built a center that blends in with the surrounding environment, so much so that neighboring monos (monkeys) swing around above (you’ll know it’s them when the trees start moving). Make sure to use DEET-free natural bug spray, so you don’t hurt the butterflies :-) Muchísimas gracias a todos en El...
Read moreC'était simplement enchanteur et rassurant de voir des gens dédicacés leur vie à la cause animale.
Les travailleurs sont remplis de bonne volonté. Le tour était agréable et l'histoire derrière certains animaux étaient tristes.
I was really happy to be there, to meet the organization and to finance their mission. I would like to do volunteer there one day.
To observe the nature and the wild life was something incredible.
I definitely people to go there if you want to connect with animals and nature.
From the plaza de arma for 10 soles more or less, you can get there. To comeback you can walk and admire the whole jungle.
So peace and so friendly.
Bless...
