I read reviews about Ocam and Cabo beach just being okay - Ocam was a way to get to Black Island though so we rented a motorcycle to get there. From the resort it was an hour and a half ride, it was long but there were some nice view points esp once you get near the coastline. The roads are smooth but can get a bit secluded and there were a lot of times we didn’t see any houses, or other vehicles, so if you’re going there make sure to allot an earlier time for the travel back if you’re a bit less adventurous, as I definitely am. I was a bit surprised by the P150/pax environmental fee in Busuanga, as I thought it would have been covered by the airport EF, but the lady at the stop point explained that it was a different fee since we were visitors of Coron. Not much else to say about the beach as we never got there, about 10 mins before the beach you’ll be met by rough road, and we had a small scooter. My partner asked me to dismount on one of the steeper parts, unfortunately he ended up falling off and breaking his clavicle. The people who helped us said that it is a bit of an accident-prone area because of the ragged road. Better use a bigger bike, although we also saw several foreigners using the small scooters with no problems so it could also be just...

Rent a dirt bike, not a scooter and drive the almost 2 hours here on a good road, except for the loose dirt on the hilly unpaved last 10 km or so. On experienced bike owner from Switzerland dropped his dirt bike on the way in and the locals patched up his wounds. That ended his chance to swim. Beach is really pretty and do few visitors compared to crowded Coron Town. As we parked our bike a lady greeted us, chatted and offered to cook us lunch and later find us and serve us on the beach. We had grilled chicken and grilled fish and cold soft drinks. She was so sweet, and the food was great. Later 6 of us met over the common desire to rent a banks boat to go to Black Island, see the wreck, caves, pristine beach and snorkle. We shared the larger boat, 3000 divided by 6 opposed to 1500 for a private boat. Our "cook" arranged the boat and get English speaking husband accompanied us on the boat and was our guide, all included in the 3000. This was my favorite thing to do in Coron. Another couple from France stayed overnight in local huts right by the beach, would have been very affordable, and with such friendly local Filipino people. PS. The water...

I gave Ocam Ocam Beach 4 stars because it has its charm, it's just probably not what you might be expecting. I suggest you go sooner than later, as there are quite a few new luxury-style vacation rentals being built on the beach.

I wouldn't call Ocam Ocam Beach peaceful, but the sounds are not of tourists or traffic, but of kids and construction, which has its own charm. The beach is public, and there are ways to access it without paying money, but you might as well go through the main entrance and pay the 25 cents. This will allow you to sit at the tables and use the chairs.

There is a small general store THAT HAS BEER for about 50php, but the real treat is the food. We had a tuna grilled with rice and salad, and 2 beers, all for 400php. Fresh coconuts around as well (make sure you ask them to bust it open after you're done drinking, so you can scrape off the fruit inside).

My main word of warning is that there is no swimming here, and when the tide is low, it's mere inches deep. The boats get grounded. There is good snorkeling but it is a hefty swim out to the reef; pay someone to take you out...

Ocam Ocam is a serene and raw beach cove in Busuanga. Perfect if you are seeking to get away from the crowds and hustle of Coron town to a less touristic place and experience the natural beauty of Palawan. For the most part Ocam Ocam is a no frills natural beach with local establishments serving home-cooked food, huts to rent for the day, and small stores and massage offerings along the beach. At the far end of the cove, the Beach House Ocam Ocam is an upmarket boutique hotel with a pool for house guests. Ocam Ocam Beach is a good starting point for island hopping to Black Island (20mins by boat) and other nearby island spots, with boats for rent on the beach. Ocam Ocam beach has beautiful sunsets, and a palm lined golden beach to spend the day under the shade of palm trees. Bring your own entertainment and good company as there isnt much around in commercial entertainment options. The last ~2km to Ocam Ocam is a rough road. Follow signs from the main road and head straight all the way to the beach.
