Terrible management and frankly quite rude. I have inquired around 3 times in the past 2 years. Here are our conversations and tell me how difficult it is to converse with someone like this:
Me: Hi when is picking season?
Gapuz: Off season po.
Me: So when is the picking season?
(If you're in this business, more or less you should have an idea when your crops are ready for harvest. Estimate lang naman.)
Gapuz: Will announce December or March.
(So ano yun? Aabang kami lagi for the announcement? Typical Filipino. Isang tanong, isang sagot. Pati yung sagot hindi rin clear.)
Me: May I know when your picking season is?
Gapuz: April to May season is best time.
Me: April first week?
Gapuz: 2nd week April.
(Hay sa wakas, sumagot narin nang matino.)
So during this time, I tried to gather several families for this activity. They could not commit so I had to ask Gapuz again between March and May, so that I can follow up with the families. Which is not easy on my part to round up families and find our common schedules.
By this time, Gapuz said last picking na raw and when I told them na I hope they'd reach out to their customers who inquired (pull), and not just post in social media and wait for them to come to them, they replied with, "It also helps to read our post that contains the schedule for picking. Our post contains information not just picking but grape growing. Some just don't read them and demand the information right away. There are other Farm [sic] to visit not just us to fit your need."
It was very rude and uncalled for. Needless to say, I scrolled through their Facebook page and couldn't find said schedule. Not everyone has time to waste to scroll through a business' Facebook page just to look for their harvest schedule. It is the job of the businesses to revert to their customers' inquiries appropriately, and if they want to go above and beyond, their marketing team should reach out to customers who previously inquired expressing interest particularly for the grape picking activity.
As per experience with this business, simpleng kukuha lang nga ng harvest schedule through DM walang makuhang matinong sagot, ipopost pa nila? And also, hahakot pa sila ng customers? Asa tayo. Ang gusto nila, sila dapat ang hahabulin ng...
Β Β Β Read moreI believe not all know that grapes do grow in the Philippines, yes it grows in our country and there are quite a lot in La Union though the most popular I believe would be Gapuz Grapes farm. When we went there there are a lot of signage stating tour guides to Gapuz Grape farm but we didnt approach them instead we went here in the pinned location. Just an FYI that the road to the venue would be quite small. There are several grapes farms that Gapuz owns and we are brought to their farm# 3 as per the guide. Our guide said that grapes are at its most beautiful form/color during Oct to Dec and as for when we went this July grapes were almost color green but its good to eat. Picking grapes is a lot of fun especially for my kids, they enjoyed a lot, it is priced at P250 per kilo and you are allowed to pick whatever you want and taste it before picking (to know if its ripe or not). I recommended it to add on your list when traveling to La Union especially if you have kids. PS they also sell grapes juice/wines priced...
Β Β Β Read moreI have always wanted to visit Gapuz Grape Farm and yesterday i had the chance. From Baguio we went to Bauang and as you hear the Grape Farms. A lot of signs saying Gapuz Grape Farm can be seen, do not mind these, just follow what Google says. The Actual Gapuz Grape Farm does not have a sign outside the main road so just follow whatever Google Says. At the Entrance someone followed us, at the entrance of Gapuz Grape Farm he said that there are no Grapes there and told us to follow him. But we did not follow him and entered the Grape Farm. There is a Covered area where you can find Wines, Juices and other Stuff for sale. The Main Event is at the back where you can see Grapes hanging, a Lot of Grapes actually! It is P300 a kilo if you want to pick. A Good Experience though the Vineyard has so much room for...
