Aplaya, or literally baywalk in Tagalog, is Baywalk in Calamba in its simplest term.
The Calamba Baywalk is facing the Laguna De Bay in the open parking space with limited ferry service.
The ferry route to the faraway Talim Island is rare and once taken a ride will be a one-way route; thus, if you wish to return to the Luzon mainland, you need to take a ferry towards Binangonan Port in Rizal.
There is a Wonder Island Resort meters away from the shore, but it can be accessible only upon prior booking in the unnamed office located at 211 J.P. Rizal, which is 8 minutes drive away from the Baywalk.
Some of the locals are taking time to catch a fish using the conventional fish pole.
You can see some seagulls occasionally flying across the strong currents of Laguna de Bay looking for fish to eat.
There is a nearby pay toilet, but dirty and poorly maintained with lack of water supply in the faucet.
