My wife and I are owners of Stargazers Bantayan Island Luxury. We visited the Baigad Lagoon with our guests and family. Everything about our day was wonderful. Starting with an enjoyable boat ride with breath taking views of the area. This is a cool way to enter the Lagoon and worth the small boat ride charge. Once we exited the boat and landed on the beautiful private beach we were amazed that private business would provide such a beautiful attraction for Tourists and local guests. I'm sure the investment far exceed the very small and justifiable charge to use this private facility. This is a business and profit is the name of the business. As I read other reviews complaining about entrance costs I think to myself what a sad bunch of Tourists we have. They come to the Philippines and complain and whine about everything. These greedy and often rude Tourists should be thankful that there is others investing in modern and comfortable facilities for their comfort. I have had the pleasure of speaking to the owners of Baigad Lagoon and can say that they both are wonderful kind and friendly people. They provide many jobs to the local economy and contribute to the overall attraction of tourism to Bantayan Island. To those that are chronic complainers and use google as your weapon to hurt others because you are really just a pathetic human being, stop trying to destroy business good name. Leaving a 1 star or 2 star review is a malicious assault on a business. When I check out profiles of those that give these low star reviews, they also give bad reviews to many others as well. This shows and reflects on the true character of the reviewer. To sum up our experience at the Baigad Lagoon the price is fair and right, the food is big portions and delicious, the drinks and frozen Cocktails are among the best on Bantayan Island. The pool is beautiful. It costs thousands of pesos every month to maintain it! My guests and family will enjoy going to the Baigad Lagoon because it is good value...

When we visited, the overall vibe of the place was great—it felt calm, welcoming, and well-managed. The area was clean, with no visible trash, and the water was clear, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

There were plenty of vacant cottages available for guests to sit and relax, so it never felt overcrowded. The entrance fee of ₱250 is quite reasonable considering the maintenance and cleanliness of the site. However, there is a re-entry fee of ₱100 (if I recall correctly), which might seem a bit strict at first. That said, it likely serves a purpose: controlling foot traffic, preventing overcrowding, and helping preserve the area by minimizing potential waste and damage from excessive tourist activity.

Overall, it’s a well-kept and peaceful spot that seems to prioritize sustainability and a positive visitor experience.

If the entrance fee is too expensive for you, better...

I had an amazing stay at Baigad Lagoon beach in Bantayan, not just because of the beautiful place but because of the incredible kindness and hospitality of the owners. They went above and beyond when I almost got scammed by a bogus island-hopping provider. Instead of just offering sympathy, they took immediate action—helping me find a trustworthy alternative so I could still enjoy my trip as planned.

Their genuine care for their guests is something you don't experience everywhere. From ensuring my safety to making sure I had the best experience possible, their hospitality was truly exceptional. If you're looking for a place in Bantayan where you’ll be treated like family, I highly recommend staying here!

One clear proof of how amazing our experience was: my little niece burst into tears when she realized we had to leave the island—she wanted to...

Visited the Baigad Lagoon, July 2022 but did not get a chance to make a google review. I was told by a local that previously there was access to area near the Baigad bridge. People just used to walk to the Lagoon but the access road was purchased and now closed, hence the needed boat ride to go to the place. Looking at the shoreline, you can actually still just walk to the lagoon if you don't mind getting wet when the tide is high. Would have been nice if there was access to the interior of the lagoon. It looks perfect for kayaking ang boating. Over all still a unique place to visit on that side of Sta. Fe. Make sure you ask the staff where the "heart rock" is. I had to edit the picture of the rock to emphasize the shape and also for the privacy of the model. You can have pictures taken on that spot. Visit on a Sunny or cloudy day.

The place itself is 5 star but it is too expensive. You need to ride a pumpboat (P150 RT/person) going there because there is no road going there even if in the maps it shows that you could go there by car. Plus you need to pay an entrance fee of P250/person and you can already use the tables and chairs for free. Good thing you can bring your own food and drinks but you can also order in their restaurant. They have a pool (additional P150/person) but only the paying guests can stay in the pool area, in our case, we only paid for my niece so parents cannot stay in pool area to watch the child but there is a lifeguard. One thing to note, the lagoon is what makes this place unique to other beaches in Bantayan Island but one should be careful in swimming in the lagoon side because the current is quiet strong.
