Liquido by the C — Restaurant in Cebu

They had a DJ and the music was unbelievably LOUD! I understand that this is a bar, but the tranquility of the lagoon was ruined. We came here to relax. Volume of the music should be adjusted out of respect for the other businesses on the island. We kayaked around the lagoon and could still hear blaring music! If you want peace and quiet, I would not recommend. Their establishment is also right next to the entryway of the lagoon so it’s hard for you to enter the lagoon without paying the entrance fee. They did mention that they only have a DJ during weekends which I think is so unnecessary - I feel bad for the residents. If you want to visit, visit on a weekday.

Food was ok - we ordered quick dishes because we just needed to eat and wanted to leave asap. Loud music was stressful.

Staff tried to help as much as they could - they redirected the speakers and even offered a different area outdoors. I just wished they didn’t play...

Our experience at this restaurant was unfortunately extremely disappointing. We ordered their loaded fries, which sounded delicious on the menu, but upon receiving our food, we encountered a distressing situation. The fries looked pale and unappetizing at all.

The restaurant was infested with flies, which were buzzing around their bar stand and on our table throughout the meal, making it impossible to enjoy our food in peace.

To make matters worse, shortly after leaving the restaurant, both my dining companion and I fell seriously ill. We experienced severe symptoms of vomiting, stomach cramps, and diarrhea, which persisted for hours afterward and led us to the emergency room. It was clear that something in the food did not agree with us, leading to a very uncomfortable and upsetting evening.

Food itself was tolerable and average at best although I cannot fault them for the serving size. Now lets get to the negative, the service of their crew was absolutely abysmal. Took roughly 45 minutes for us to receive our order I’ll give it to them cause it was busy during our meal, however at the end when we were asking for some service water, my wife, our tour-guide and I asked 4 different members of their waiting crew to no avail until I had to walk all the way up to the counter and complain to someone about this. She did not seem interested and even came across as rude, yes I understand they were busy but surely it should not take 40 minutes after our meal to receive service water. Its a shame cause the atmosphere of the restaurant/bare was good but the service crew has completely let them down. I do not recommend this place at all.
