I am 100% sure the place is worth a visit.
In this case I can't give more than 1 star due to the poor management of the site in my opinion. It might not be on the workers side but administration itself.
Considering there is no website and the only way to know the place is Google maps or mouth to mouth, when you arrive at the place, they should have a pricing list for the concepts they charge:
1- The entrance fee (30 PHP/person) 2- Price per Guide (300PHP/each 4 visitors) 3- Ratio of visitors per guide. (1 to 4) 4- The time allowance per group (1h max)
Considering Linao Cave is at the end of the World, you cannot leave your customers unprogrammed for the day without this info.
Other tips in where you guys can improve:
5- THE ENTRANCE. The main visible entrance is a private property not linked to Linao Cave? Advertise it. Just put a red sign saying PRIVATE PROPERTY. Entrance through PIZZA GET, 50m this way ➡️
6- PROTOCOLS. You should have a book and advertising or something where the info is displayed and is not just whatever the receptionist is saying that day.
7- GUIDE. The average daily salary of a professional in The Philippines is around 600php. If you charging for a guide in 2h that much already, have to make sure at least has first aid training, a first aid kit and is going actually to be safer to go with him/her.
I hope next time we can enjoy Linao...

The new entrance is by a sari-sari store before the old entrance (if the direction is headed towards Sulangan), and they now require a tour guide to enter the cave.
But that did not affect the experience in any negative manner: although the new path is more treacherous and full of jagged limestone, getting to the cave is now more rewarding.
There are parts where one has to swim before reaching the actual site, so it's recommended to leave valuables behind or place them in a dry bag. The cave wasn't crowded at all when we went there; we had the cave to ourselves for a solid hour, and the next group arrived just when we were about to depart. The brackish water in the cave, having a very pretty shade of deep blue, is cool, refreshing, and really deep, more than 10 meters at low tide according to the tour guide.
It might have been even prettier if we went in the morning instead of the afternoon, where sunlight could have hit the cave at just the...
Read moreWe found a welcoming team at the house being the new access to the cave (pay attention upon arrival, the house is located just before the actual sign of Linao Cave), and a clean and well maintained cave. They now have a gate to protect the entrance from many visitors who used to leave trash after their visit, and also as a safety measure to refrain people from entering without a guide as they could fall on slippery surfaces. You need to pay a guide 300 php to accompany you - they do have very useful wooden bridges, and ropes but our guide was a must to secure everyone and light the way as the cave is very dark inside ! Remember to bring dry bag and if you have, waterproof head lights.
The lagoon is very peaceful, you can swim there, or watch the impressive rock formation and...
