The beaches by self is beautiful. Looks like a good place to spend sometimes. But today we had a bad incident with someone who requested from the foreigner tourists 300 peso for a few minutes under one of the bamboo shades. They came from Switzerland and exactly their job is to make a review about the North beaches. This kind of situation can destroy even the private resorts around this place like the Playa Tropical Resort and North Shores Inn. I saw couple of places in the north this kind of situation. The North tourist department should closely watch that kind of practice from their people. The people should not watch foreigners like walking $ but like a business 🧑‍💼 partners who needs an honest service. So any payment at the beaches should be explained in the front. The person who’s been asking for the money even told to these tourists to never come back....

We stayed at Playa Tropical and they have a beach access. It's a public beach actually and has cottages for rent within the beach strip (aside from the beachfront accommodations). Some parts aren't really well maintained as garbage is piled up. We were grateful our resort is maintaining their area. Such a great place to hang out most especially...

Nice view, big cottages, lots of vendors, fresh fish. The only thing I disliked is the few comfort rooms and not a toddler friendly place. but overall if you just want to relax or swim, its...
