Mt. Yangbew — Attraction in La Trinidad

Mt. Yangbew also known as Mt. Jumbo or Jambo is a beloved local spot just minutes from Baguio City. Often dubbed the “little Mt. Pulag,” it offers sweeping views of La Trinidad Valley and a sea of clouds on lucky mornings. The summit is treeless, giving it a wide-open, grassland feel that’s perfect for sunrise or sunset viewing. The place is really relaxing and you can see a nice view. You could see the whole Baguio city and La Trinidad - 360 degree view. You could see Mt. Kalugong from Mt. Yangbew . It's a place where you could have horseback riding, picnic, & night camping (with payment). Can bring food in there but trash it properly to preserve the place. It has a mini canteen but the offered foods are snacks, and drinks. There's also souvenirs. Can hike the place for 25 to 30 minutes but depends on your pacing. It's open anytime but the owner of the place stated that the best place to go there is during sunrise and sunset. We went there a bit cloudy. So we haven't seen...

The trail is quite easy; for beginners. Even the kids can do it; something new for family day. Just be careful with the few steep steps. It will take about 20 minutes, with a few minutes of rest along the way. And when you reach the peak, you'll have a view of villages and other mountains. There are horses that you can ride for rent (about ₱150 I think for half an hour). It's calming and picturesque. You can have picnic on the peak and of course, instagrammable photos (there are rock formations for that).
