Cotabato Airport or Awang Airport is a small passenger airport that shares its runway with the Philippine Air Force. It is the main airport for passengers bound for Cotabato City and Maguindanao province. This passenger airport is under renovation so the experience is not good especially for those departing from Cotabato. For arriving passengers kindly expect checked baggages will be brought to the parking area for sorting and retrieval. The airport is located at the outskirts of the component city of Cotabato, about 15 minutes from the government center of BARMM and about 20-25 minutes from the old city hall and common center of the city. It is not accessible by public transportation so hiring a taxi or owning a car is the only way in.

Olats. I can't say more. They funded it for the beatification of the airport, yet it's still olats. The baggage was mishandled, when i arrive in the Philippines my luggage has no cracks and scratches when i arrive in cotabato airport and went home, i saw there's a crack on luggage. But it's ok, as long as there's nothing missing.

The last time I arrived in this airport it is under construction for improvement. The system of claiming the baggage is not in organized manner, people will compete with each other in claiming. Now, I heard construction is already done and they are already using the new facilities. I hope the system has also improved.

Small airport but very smooth process getting into Cotabato City from Manila. The terminal building is under construction at the time of this writing (Jan 2023). You leave the plane and walk off the tarmac into a waiting area under canopy and they will bring all the checked luggage out. There is a phone number you can call written on the tent to arrange a driver, or you can use the jeeps that are at Awang airport. Whole process from arrival to baggage retrieval took...

Driving a C-130 is a complex task that requires extensive training and certification. If you're a new pilot, you'll need to go through the appropriate military or civilian flight training programs and gain experience in smaller aircraft before transitioning to larger planes like the C-130. It's important to follow the required training and licensing procedures to ensure safety and proficiency.

Big thanks to...
