Apparently this is a must visit place when you stay in Boracay, but other than the two caves that I went to, it wasn’t that special. It’s just instagram worthy. For example, what’s with this fake Greece ruins. Anyway, both cave were awesome. Lots of walk, few stairs, some bending and squat as it has very low ceiling. First cave had deep water about 2 metres and I don’t have life vest or shoe water with me. Made it to the coral to take a picture and came back intact. Second cave had steep stairs and low ceiling but shallow water. July is the perfect time to go as it’s monsoon rainy season so not that many tourist as usual. But wave is kinda strong. The vendor that we use tainted the experience. I know this is a popular tourist destination and I should have done prior research before agreeing to the price. I almost agreed to pay twice the normal price for the whole tour before my friend who is a local negotiate in the native language and they let her pay normal price. This same vendor gave me normal price a week before when I did standup paddle boarding, but try to rip me off a week later for this island hopping.
Tips, if you don’t mind paying more, just do private island hopping. I regret not doing that because I think I would love to spend more time inside the cave here than going to the...
Read moreOne of the famous places for island tours in Boracay. It has a beautiful view on top and has a large vast space where it can be considered as one of the best places to take photos. There are two coves in the area. One is located near the famous Crystal Cove photo spot which can be steep and narrow. The second cove is better which takes a few minutes walk to reach the area. The entrance/exit was not my cup of tea because there were many insexts in the area which can be uncomfortable. An entrance fee is needed to enter and is not included in the island tour or you will have to stay on the...
Read moreI am not sure what others have been doing at this place, but what i have seen is a with 300php per person!! A way too overpriced area which is totally run down. There is 0 to do on this island beside sit and look at an abandoned stone ruin. Most areas are fenced off as its to dangerous to go further. Thers a small cave which is not really impressive. The other apparently bigger cave was close coz of the typhoon they said. (which went thru several month ago) from my side this place is absolutely not to recommend!...
