I visited the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception of Salambao (Obando Church, Diocese of Malolos) way back in 2018. I was lucky enough to witness the town’s famous fiesta — the Obando Fertility Dance Festival. Locals, devotees, and even tourists joined in the joyful "Pandanggo," dancing in prayer and celebration. It was such a vibrant and memorable experience.
This historic church, located in Obando, Bulacan, is famous for the Obando Fertility Rites held every May 17 to 19 in honor of St. Pascual Baylon, St. Clare of Assisi, and Our Lady of Salambao. Devotees believe that dancing during the mass and procession can help them receive blessings — especially for those praying for children, spouses, or prosperity.
Fun fact: The Obando Fertility Festival is so culturally significant that it was mentioned in José Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere, and it remains one of the most colorful and faith-filled traditions in the country.
If you’re visiting Bulacan, this shrine is a must-see — especially during the festival season, when faith and festivity come together in a uniquely...

This was my first visit to Obando Church, and it was truly a memorable experience. We came on January 5, 2025, and arrived at 7:45 AM. The 8:00 AM Mass was followed by a unique spiritual dance, where attendees danced and prayed—an inspiring tradition that adds to the church’s special atmosphere.
The interior of the church is cool and comfortable, though I’m unsure how it feels during the summer months. There’s a strong sense of faith and hope within the church, making it a spiritually uplifting place to visit.
The volunteers are incredibly welcoming, making the experience even more pleasant. As for parking, I estimate the space can accommodate around 30 to 50 cars, though this is just an approximation.
One thing to keep in mind is the traffic around the area. There are many pedicabs, so patience is key when driving to the church.
Overall, Obando Church is a beautiful and faith-strengthening destination, and I would highly...

So many answered prayers here that this place never cease to amaze me. On Sundays at 9 AM, they have pasayaw where people, especially couples perform the fertility dance to pray to Santa Clara for children. It's such a joyful and enlightening experience. They also have a parish museum and...
