It all about the so called "Death Pool" in Cabongaoan Beach in Burgos, Pangasinan. It became viral because of Facebook in general until local media organization ride to the heat. The Death Pool was featured in the two biggest network in the Philippines then boom, everybody want to dive in the Death Pool. Before you get to Cabongaoan Beach and dip and dive in the Death Pool you have to take that more or less 7 hours drive from Manila. Easy right? But from my perspective its worth the joyride and adventure. Whether by commute or by private car, you'll enjoy the landscape of Pangasinan. The Philippines is known for its stunning beaches. With summer just around the corner, more and more tourists flock these beaches to have a relaxing and fun time. But one of the country’s less popular beaches has been made known after a blog was written about it. It has now been dubbed the ‘Death Pool’ for a reason. The Cabongaoan Beach is in Burgos, Pangasinan, is known for their beautiful white sand beaches and its clear waters. But what many tourists don’t know is that there is a natural pool that is 20 feet deep, and has waves crashing onto it. Because of this, it has been dubbed the ‘Death Pool’.

Death Pool or Depth Pool for some. The place is awesome, no other word can describe it. Went there in the morning of this month (December) and this is how it looked like (see video). Safety tip: Make sure you know the best time of the day to visit the place, best to go at low tide for safety reasons. Also, better if you go there with a local esp if waves are high and violent. They would know when it is safe to dip or not. With that kind of wave and wind in the video, it is surely NOT advisable to get in. Other days, when the weather is peaceful, maybe yes. We just took lots of beautiful photos and played in those tiny water spouts around and took a dip on the other side of the rocks (just below the church) where it was safer!❤️ Others: there's a minimal entrance fee, different rates for diff types of vehicles. But it is actually just a short walk from entrance. They dont have parking area tho. (I took a video of this group of people I dont know, to show relative size of pool vs people, let me know if i should take it down).

The Depth Pool is a natural wonder located in Sitio Masanhret, Brgy. Baruan, Agno, Pangasinan. It is actually a series of interconnected pools carved into the rocks by the sea, accessible through a short climb over sharp rocks via the Cabongaoan Beach in Burgos. Wearing aqua shoes is strongly advised. It is advisable that you visit in the morning during low tide to actually enjoy the place. While the Depth Pool's beauty is undeniable, it's important to be aware of the dangers. The strong waves during high tide can be forceful and pull swimmers into the underwater holes. Exercise caution and avoid swimming during high tide. Its growing popularity highlights the need for stricter supervision and regulations. Hopefully, the LGU of Burgos or Agno will implement safety measures to ensure a fun and injury-free experience for tourists.
