After visiting Camp Mossa, I didn’t expect to stumble upon Pamitinan Protected Landscape—but I’m so glad I did. As I made my way up, the sight of the Marikina River flowing alongside the road immediately caught my attention. Curious, I asked some locals about the place, and they told me about all the things you can do here—hiking, cave exploring, waterfalls, and even rock climbing. It was too tempting to pass up!

If you love hiking, you have three mountains to choose from: Mt. Pamitinan, Mt. Binacayan, and Mt. Hapunang Banoi. Each offers its own unique challenge, with Hapunang Banoi being the longest trek. If you’re not up for a climb, a relaxing walk by the river or a boat ride is just as rewarding. The views of the towering limestone formations and lush greenery make you feel like you’re in a completely different world.

One of the best surprises was the Wawa waterfalls—tucked away but absolutely stunning. The sound of rushing water, the fresh air, and the peaceful vibe of the place made me want to stay longer. There are also cabanas and campsites where you can just sit back and take in the beauty of nature.

The fees are super affordable, and if you’re planning a visit, I recommend coming early so you have time to experience everything. Whether you’re here for an adventure or just want to unwind by the river, Pamitinan Protected Landscape is a place that makes you appreciate the simple beauty of nature. I’m definitely coming back to...

Nice place for a one-day trip from Manila.

For those who like hiking, there are 3 mountains 🏔️ ⛰️ ⛰️ to climb: Mt Pamitinan, Mt. Binicayan & Mt Hapunang Banoi. Hike to the last one is the longest. Or if one prefers something more leisurely - a walk along the river.

Other activity offered is rock climbing (the rock wall is on the way to Mt Pamitinan).

Another attraction is long, metal, power engine boat trip up the river.

Costs / prices: Barangay fee: 20 php per person DENR fee (if hiking): 50 PHP per person Guide (mandatory for hiking): 500 PHP per group (up to 5 people) Boat 🛶 tours: 75-120 php per person (500-700 php for the whole boat).

There are plenty of cabanas to rent.

The only downside is noise pollution. Every cabana has its own karaoke 🎤 and it is just too much. Maybe during week days...
