My extreme disappointment with my recent stay at your establishment. It is with great regret that I must share my negative experience, particularly regarding the management's behavior, which I found to be both unpleasant and greedy.
Upon arrival, I was excited to explore the beautiful surroundings and enjoy a relaxing vacation. However, right from the start, it became evident that the management's priorities were far from customer satisfaction. The staff appeared disinterested and unwelcoming, failing to provide even basic hospitality.
Furthermore, it became apparent that the management's greed overshadowed any concern for the guests' comfort. The resort imposed exorbitant prices for even the most basic amenities and services, leaving me feeling like I was being taken advantage of as a guest. The lack of transparency regarding these additional charges was deeply disheartening.
Moreover, the resort's facilities were poorly maintained and showed signs of neglect. The rooms were unclean, with stains on the furniture and a musty odor, making it difficult to relax and enjoy my stay. Additionally, the overall cleanliness of the common areas left much to be desired, and it was evident that hygiene standards were not a priority.
Throughout my stay, I attempted to address my concerns with the management, hoping for a resolution or at least an acknowledgment of the issues. However, my attempts were met with indifference and a dismissive attitude, further highlighting the lack of professionalism and customer care within the organization.
As a frequent traveler, I have had the pleasure of experiencing various resorts and hotels, and it deeply saddens me to encounter such a disappointing establishment. I urge the management of Altra Vista Resort to reevaluate their priorities and focus on providing a welcoming and pleasant environment for guests.

   Read moreWe booked months in advance, (June 2025) when we arrived at the venue for check-in around 3-4pm we were told that the room we booked WAS NOT AVAILABLE. And said that the room was given to another set of guests with the reason that it is âdouble bookedâ causing conflict with their system.
I do not see any reason for a double booking conflict where infact we have booked it months prior to our arrival. They did not even have the courtesy to inform us which they had the time weeks or months to our check-in date.
They even told us that the room they have given us was a VIP room and made sure that we are not able to use the 2nd bed which is infact available for 2 of us to use in the same room unit.
Bad service. I do not recommend this to anyone who wants a cozy stay at samal island. Iâd prefer going to club samal instead or discovery samal for a much more pampered experience...

Despite reserving and paying for our room months in advance, it was given away to someone else. To make matters worse, the staff sighed, rolled her eyes, and treated us as though we were at fault.
