Sunrise View Beach Resort — Attraction in Samal

I don't normally give reviews but this place deserves to be mentioned as a warning to others. Management and staff from this place more like A POW Camp than a hotel. The list is long more room needed them I have here. Suffice it to say that you should avoid this place anything would be better than this. Dishonest management , uncomfortable room overpriced. If you want to go to samal Island stay at the Waterfront Hotel in one of the best places I've been in the Philippines and inexpensive if you go on travel website to book the room then just take a boat to samal 4 day trip not worth staying here overnight for the price none of the hotels compare that I could see as far as value for the dollar /peso. Again the list is long here not allowed to bring food or beverages from outside the compound no easy access to Transportation once you arrive here dirt road difficult to walk or drive steep hills at the entrance and you won't be able to get a taxi or trike if you have luggage will be difficult to bring anything and you'll be stuck here their restaurant is inconvenience guest service and food from the staff there very dirty picking their nose and then preparing food right in front of you dirty inconsiderate rude. Will charge you for a glass of ice. Even after tipping them too much they're still rude and inconsiderate. They're out of everything on the menu but a few items and then they will try to charge you extra fine for bringing food and drinks back from the other store. I could go on and on this is not a place normal person would want to stay. Better to take a 20 peso Ferry from The Wharf on a day trip here don't stay at the hotels on this island not worth it. As far as the diving goes nothing good to see here either this may be one of the worst places to go diving in the Philippines the pictures are deceiving too many of magnificent underwater adventures in the Philippines to come here a complete waste of time. Its not that good, the staffs are "just polite" but they dont know what they're doing, waited for almost 3hrs just to check in and you expect them that the room would be ready for you but apparently the room is filthy, no food in the fridge while they implement a rule that no food from the outside policy which makes no sense since they got no food and snacks in the fridge, the water dispenser is filthy and you need to bring your own water for the dispenser which we clearly asked the management before we took our reservation that we dont need to bring any food and water because they will provide for it, but as i said no food/snacks and water in the dispenser.. overall rating is a disaster, don't be fooled by the pictures in...
