This review is dated Nov2 2021. Far cry from its heyday decades ago. Puerto Azul is Made up of 4 beaches and several structures. Most of the place including the hotel and the clubhouse has been abandoned and is now in ruins. Caysubic was once a beautiful resort was also in disarray but has been improved of late by a Korean group. Aimed at the foreign tourist the golf course has been meticulously revived. As a result even though the cottages have not been improved rental prices are up and now you cant get in without a reservation. Paniman Beach cove is the beach beside Caysubic. Admission fee is 300 daytour only. For a time everything including the cottages and the shower and toilet area was dilapidated. The shower areas were dirty and smelled with unflushed toilets. Water was inadequate. You'll have to bring your own food. Puerto Azul the beach and clubhouse was supposed to have undergone renovation but up to now has remain closed. The only problem is, when I asked for the receipt, I was given a piece of paper indicating the green fee which is P2,000 plus the cart for P 1,000 then for the caddy of P600 instead of official receipt.
