When you're in Tuguegarao, be sure to pass by Buntun Bridge if it's not along your way. The bridge is long enough that if you try singing the Filipino National Anthem the moment you enter the bridge, you're still on the bridge once you finish singing.

It was nice that they are repainting the bridge. Every time we cross this bridge, I always enjoy it. The bridge is even prettier at night because of the lights. It's really impregnable too, withstanding strong typhoons over the years.

The bridge connects the Solana, Tuao, Santo Niño and part of Isabela. It serves as a middle structure along the long and wide Chico River. The said bridge was built during the Marcos era.

I recently passed through Buntun Bridge in Tuguegarao, and while it still feels sturdy and continues to serve its purpose as a vital link across the Cagayan River, it’s clear that it needs some maintenance. The bridge really needs repainting, as the old paint is already fading and rust is starting to show in some parts.

It’s still impressive to cross, especially with the wide view of the river, but regular upkeep would help preserve both its appearance and durability. Hopefully, a repainting and proper maintenance can be scheduled soon so it can remain a proud landmark...

Cagayan overhypes this attraction but perhaps could be appreciated more from a farther vantage point. I don't recommend walking through it. There's a lot of traffic and since almost all vehicles use diesel, it is upleasant...
