The Remembrance Museum of Land of Oświęcim Residents — Attraction in Oświęcim

Worst visitor organization ever. It is mandatory to book in advance for time slots, but nobody checks the time slot on the ticket and there is no lines at the entry, just a mass of people. Most of the visitors don't stand at the end of the line, just go from the side. After this entry there is an other point (of security check) where the lines are crowded. After the entry, you can walk anywhere, no guides (which buildings follows which), arrows, etc. No highlighted information about the other location (Birkennau) is closes at 3:30 pm, no available information for shuttle bus, just at the bus stop (but it should be at the entry to see how much time you have for the first location). WARNING: DON'T GO THERE IF YOU DON'T HAVE A TICKET FROM A TOUR OPERATOR. you won't get in(except for a lucky few that queue at 7am for tickets left over from the operators. This site is completely hogged by them. This also applies to Birkenau (tickets are sold in conjunction with the museum) Which is a pity as the museum seems to be great and educational and the camp translated the horrible experience well.

Nie jest to muzeum dla wszystkich. Na pewno nie dla rodzin z dziećmi, oraz nie dla ludzi obojętnych, nie interesujących się historią lokalną. Aby wysłuchać wszystkich materiałów audio-wizualnych potrzeba naprawdę dużo czasu. W nich sporo wartościowych starych fotografii, sporo wywiadów i opowieści ludzi, którzy żyli w tych trudnych dla nich czasach, pod okupacją niemiecką - a mimo to pomagali więźniom, ryzykując życie. Zwiedzanie jest indywidualne ze słuchawkami. Ale jakość dźwięku i synchronizacja ze zwiedzanymi miejscami jest doskonała. Cała organizacja jest na wysokim poziomie. Są zamykane szafki, gdzie można zostawić kurtkę i zbędne do zwiedzania rzeczy osobiste, Jak na pływalni... basenie. Naprawdę sporo można się dowiedzieć w kontekście historycznym o mieszkańcach miasta Oświęcimia i okolic. Nie jest to muzeum z jakimiś fajerwerkami, kolorowymi jarmarkami i dzikimi wężami. Wymaga czasu i skupienia. Oprócz samego muzeum, fajnie też pochodzić po terenie zewnętrznym. Ciekawe atrakcje, rzeźby, miejsca pamiątkowe coś symbolizujące.
