Museum of Armored Weapons — Attraction in Poznan

This is the most unexpected exhibition I've ever come across ever. I was in Poznań for a peculiar reason and stumbled across this museum by accident. The best accident I ever stumbled upon. The exhibition is divided in to 4 hangars in chronological order. The highlight of the expo is the staff working there. The guys, obviously ex military tank man have multitude of technical and anecdotal knowledge about the exhibits in possession. They are a great crack once you get them talking. Most of the exhibits are in running condition. The highlights are the most famous polish tank "Rudy" and sign by Stephen Spielberg tank used in "Bridge of spies" movie. We spent here two and a half hours which didn't feel like it. I didn't want to leave. They also have some outdoors exhibits which are class but kind of work in progres. Must visit spot if you are in the area. Entry is 20pln(Feb, 2022) which is cheap as chips for the experience you...

Phenomenal place. Both the inside and open air exhibits are fantastic. Ticket price is very fair and I was fortunate to visit at a slow time so I practically had the place to myself.

the vehicles are clearly well taken care of and maintained. The trucks and less robust things are under an awning to protect them and the rest is arranged very well to walk around and enjoy it all. Take your time especially with the inside exhibits, since there is an amazing mix of relics that are displayed as found as well as incredible restored items.

Must stop for anybody with an interest in Cold War and WWII. a lot of history there, the monument...

Ambiwalentnie. Super, że się wreszcie otworzyło, ale ekspozycja trochę mała. Nie ma chyba także placu do pokazów w ruchu. Szkoda, że replika Garforda-Putiłowa nie jest wyeksponowana, w taki sposób, żeby można obejrzeć ją dookoła. Żal, że nie są otwarte klapy TKS -a, żeby można zajrzeć do środka i zobaczyć jakie były warunki pracy w tym wozie. To samo dotyczy także innych pojazdów, które są eksponowane w halach, ale i możliwości zajrzenia do wagonu szturmowego - tu by zresztą wystarczyła może drabinka prowadząca, do którejś ze strzelnic karabinowych. Szkoda, że nie udostępniono choć kilku mniej wartościowych historycznie pojazdów (np. Topasa, albo Skota), tak żeby można było wejść do środka, zająć miejsce kierowcy albo desantu - myślę, że byłaby to atrakcja szczególnie dla dzieci. Co do dzieci przydałby się jakiś kącik - na obiekcie nie ma chyba miejsca na wygospodarowanie czegoś wewnątrz jak w Bovington, ale jakiś tematyczny plac zabaw na zewnątrz? Może - co jest chyba najlepszym pomysłem z jakim zetknąłem się w Europie - jak w Lesianach jakiś kadłub starego pojazdu? Przy wyjściu przydałby się sklepik - pamiątki, książki, magnesy na lodówkę, klocki - to co zwyczajowo w tego typu muzeach. Z plusów - powycinana skorupa T34, która służyła jako rekwizyt przy kręceniu 4 Pancernych i psa. Super, że takie rzeczy się zachowują. Cena za wstęp (20 zł) chyba za wysoka jak za wielkość ekspozycji. Można płacić kartą. Przed muzeum duży wygodny parking. Ogólnie jeśli jesteś hobbystą militariów i jesteś z Poznania, albo jesteś z innego powodu w Poznaniu to na pewno, trzeba tam zajechać, ale chyba póki co nie warte...
