I was looking forward to see some other zoo (outside CZ), and I was kinda upset. Nice surroundings and all, but from all the zoos I have ever been, I saw the least amount of animals in total. They were either tired, hiding, or for eg. elephants were gone completely (It was maybe written somewhere, but sorry, I was too busy to look). Ofcourse, this is not any of the animals fault, more like of the zoo organization, since you will see 5 times more fast food kiosks than animals, which is definitely not a good sight. As I say, I don't like to write it, but this zoo in this current state is definitely not 5 or 4 stars, more like 3 or 2. But perhaps, in the future, things will improve... ;) Nitpicks: Night-animal house sounds great at first, but because of the lighting, its quite hard to see. You will see some animals, but I dont guarantee even half of them. Wolves, tigers and lions nowhere to be seen (tired or hiding). Elephants missing completely. For zoo of this size, too many kiosks (no but really- why? I dont say that there shouldnt be any, but compared to CZ zoos, the main focus is on animals, not food as it felt here...)

A nice zoo if you don't mind some walking. A spacious area with a diverse range of animals being kept. Overall it looks like there's been a lot of effort in recent years to update certain areas of the park, since they are well maintained and look new. A few areas look like they could use a bit of an update but nothing alarming. I would suggest that some of the trails (mainly around the area where the elephants are kept) be updated to asphalt since hilly walking trails of sand and rocks are not ideal for push bikes, strollers or wheelchairs. In general the animals look well taken care of, besides the wolves that seemed to exhibit some neurotic behavior. The only real letdown was the butterfly exhibit, which was basically just one narrow dead-end trail into a dark greenhouse where I spotted a few scarce butterflies. Too cramped for more than a few visitors. Otherwise a nice, spacious park with plenty to see and a few playing areas for children. There is also a small train driving around the zoo with several stopping points in case you don't want to walk everywhere.

It is a very large zoo with big enclosures for the animals. It's a bit of an odd one. The prices were previously reduced during the winter but have gone back up in price from March (triple the price from last month) however I think they should have extended that lower price for a few more weeks. I paid full price today but the train isn't running. Nearly all the food and shops are closed. Many of the enclosures are empty. Building work going on. Many animals even though they have large enclosures to move around were locked away, for example the zebra you couldn't see due to large diggers moving around in theit fields and the Elephents were also locked away in their pens. Yes I could have scored my experience much lower but having seen the juvenile giraffes running and a baby Joey in their mums pouch I have still managed to score the zoo a 4. I did add photos to my review but for some reason Google said I breached their policies (not that it said what I breached) so can only keep the text
