The name of the park comes from the merchant family of Szylingów, the most famous of which was Mikołaj Szyling (mayor of Poznań, goldsmith, humanist). On that day, even a police hour was canceled. On September 5, 1945, regular boat trips to Gorzów Wielkopolski were launched from the local marina (via Oborniki, Obrzycko, Wronki, Sieraków, Międzychód and Skwierzyna). In 2009 the garden was put in order. It is planned to equip recreational areas and a promenade on the Warta River.
