Park papieski — Attraction in Rzeszów

Lovely park with many paths in between bushes and trees. Very well maintained and extremely well lit up at night. As a bonus, it has surveillance cameras which make it an extra safe spot for the late night walker.

A beautiful pond like, river with fountains, runs through the middle of the park. In summer the park blooms with flowers and bushes. It has an outdoor amphitheatre for local happenings, and a lot of grassy fields if anyone desires to rest in the sun.

There’s always a lot of dog walkers and many people strolling by. It is a very wonderful place for walks.

The most centre point of attention, must be the beautiful large statue of the Late Polish Pope John Paul II, which is situated in the middle of the park.

It has a wonderful playground area as well as a workout area. There are also several drinking fountains across the park which are supplied with drinking water in the summer months.

Truly a gem in the midst...

Park zajmuje ok. 17 hektarów powierzchni. Jego budowę rozpoczęto w roku 2005. W centralnej części znajduje się niewielki plac z obeliskiem ku czci Jana Pawła II, ustawionym kilka dni po śmierci Papieża, natomiast w kierunku Katedry Rzeszowskiej biegnie „Aleja Przesłania Papieskiego” na której ustawiono 14 tablic z utrwalonymi słowami homilii Jana Pawła II. O niepowtarzalnej urodzie Parku decydują przemyślane nasadzenia drzew i zieleni, elementy małej architektury, w tym sztuczny strumień z fontanną, amfiteatr, mostki, pergole i inne. Dla dzieci przygotowano plac zabaw. Park jest oświetlony i zaopatrzony w obszerny parking.
