Very interesting outdoor museum / village. Went with the kids and they enjoyed looking around. I noticed the tour guides opened up some buildings that are locked for everyone else, and if it’s already open you can also walk in. The private guide would be good but with small kids they’d likely get bored anyway.
At the big manor (owners house) there was an employee which offered some interesting insights. They do have guides in other languages but it’s mainly in Polish.
There’s a small bakery on the way which sells big bread sticks and some pastries. I thought they might either be warm or soft. Both were wrong. Give it a try - I didn’t love it but worth a try.

Read moreIf you've ever been to an open-air museum in Rumšiškės, then you'll like this place a lot more. The whole museum is much more structurally organised than in Rumšiškės. Every interesting building or landmark is just a couple steps away. There's a lot to explore.
Obviously the main attraction is the town square. You can go inside the buildings to see how people lived. You can also go to a bakery and buy freshly baked bread. There's some souvenir shops that sell handcrafted items from wood and clay.
