Palmiarnia — Attraction in Wałbrzych

The place itself is worth the visit. My second visit, earlier was in december - every season plants reveal different beauty.

I was particularly disturbed seeing tropical lemurs out of their natural habitat and in this unusual space. I wasn't expecting them and they were howling and in distress when visitors were there, later on the staff came to "shushhh" them, i tried to communicate with staff, but they weren't willing - language barrier...

Palmiarnia in Wałbrzych town is another great attraction that you must consider visiting on your way back from Książ. Yes, I'm assuming that you are visiting Wałbrzych to see Książ. The best part is, you can enter Palmiarnia on the same ticket and you don't have to pay extra for the entrance here. But you have to pay for the entrance otherwise. Hundreds of exotic plants, some turtles, lemur, a nice cafe full of beautiful plants, a bonsai section, and a shop where you can buy plants, seeds and other gardening essentials, make for the highlight of this place. Well, I think it could have been impressive 100 years ago. Yet, it is small and , in our opinion, plants are kept not in the best condition. No enough information on plants, too. We think, It needs some refurbishment and extensions. Would be nice if the original rosarium and vegetable garden would be reconstructed, too. A few animals, birds and fish are kept among plants. There's a small exhibition on bonsai and a shop with souvenirs and a range of plants....
