Forte do Guincho — Attraction in Cascais

We booked a room months ago. We were given a room on the entry floor directly at the entrance with a window facing a bar so we cannot open the curtain to outside without compromising our privacy. When asked if they had another room available we were told they had 2 but we're given to 2 separate Walk-ins...really? So...they had others available but did not offer them to us on our arrival even though our reservations were made months before for 3 nights. As well we were told there is WiFi available but it is so weak we cannot access it. Von der alten Festung ist nicht mehr viel übrig. Das wirklich Spektakuläre, ist etwas weiter rechts zu finden. Es gibt eine gute aber steile Treppe, die zu der steinigen Bucht hinabführt. Es eröffnet sich ein beeindruckender Blick auf die gewaltigen Wellen. Wer möchte, kann sich auf dem vorhanden Wanderweg in die „Hügel“ begeben und die Bucht auch von der anderen Seite erreichen. Ist dann etwas einfacher. Die Wege sind sehr steinig und holprig und an manchen Stellen muss man klettern können.
