We drove here for a half-day trip from Faro. Bus ticket is 4.20€ per trip, a small walk after to the Palace. 3€ entry per person to the palace, so it's a 11€ trip including the bus. Not worth it.

When going in there's a small museum area and a chapel. Nothing crazy. The three following rooms inside the palace were all beautiful and the garden was well architectured. Definitely not very taken care of however and therefore a little sad-looking.

Inside the Palace you run into guests or employees of the hotel a lot and it feels a bit like you're intruding a different, very noble/snobby world where everyone sits in suits and ball dresses at the dining table. The restaurant prices ranged from 22-30€ per dish, likely not recommendable.

If you're already in Estoi it's fine to drop by as it has some beautiful paintings and architecture inside the palace but I wouldn't say 3€ is worth the visit. The color of the palace is also washed out so the pink is not as pretty as it may seem...

Me and my partner come to this place recommended by friends (Sunday around 2pm) . We took the Uber and when we arrived at the place we spoke to a guy in the reception and he told us the price . There's a lady sitting in the chair with glasses ; she said" NO" to the guy because they're a group of visitors waiting to arrive. So they refused us our entry to the palace and let other come in . There was barely no one inside the place is enormous , how 2 visitors could make the place overcrowded???" we could count by the fingers the people inside." I found the lady with the glasses that refused our entry rude, lazy, and very unprofessional. After that, the guy went to remove the sign outside following her orders . The lady with the glasses was unprofessional and rude she thinks that she owns the place. They should not allow people with this atittude in the reception. This is the tourist attraction of the area. I am very disappointed with the kind of reception...

a beautiful palace that’s also a hotel. online it says it’s free but it’s 5 euros. you purchase from hotel reception. they didn’t share any information at all, except go to the left, down a service hallway. i felt like an intruder to all the hotel guests. the formal garden with fountain is beautiful. i ordered a cerveja at the bar and it was such an ordeal. the draft wasn’t working so i got a warm bottle. nobody's in the hotel had change for a 20. a server from the restaurant came to help the bartender and shook his head and rolled his eyes at me for paying with cash. i was nothing but kind and polite. i told him i would pay by card. my warm cerveja was gone by the time they figured out payment. poor service from reception to bar and restaurant. the palace was 5 stars but dealing with the hotel staff...

A beautiful palace in a small town. One part or the palace is owned by a hotel. You can pay 3 euros to visit it. There’s also a restaurant and bar inside and a bit of historical artifacts found in the site. The gardens are managed by the government which is sad because they’ve let them die out. Maybe it would be better if the hotel would buy the gardens as well. At least they would be taken care of. The blue wall with the azulejos is part of the gardens and maybe the only thing that is worth seeing since everything else is not being taken care of. You have to go around the property and go in the back side. But you can also ask at the hotel reception. The girl there was really helpful and nice.
