Pinch me 🥹 A dream destination ever since I was a kid, I FINALLY get to explore the magical islands of the Azores, a hidden gem as well as the westernmost point of Europe, these groups of islands in the middle of the Atlantic ocean are MAGICAL. 😭💛 I can’t wait to show you everything that we get up to and capture here! The nature is INSANE. 🥹 So lush, so green, so rainforest-like. Easily accessible by local bus, leaving Lajes at 11 am, from Santa Cruz somewhat earlier. One of the most scenic bus rides anywhere! Senhor Armando was so kind, he stopped along the way so we could take photos of the amazing scenery. Bus returns from Faja Grande at 3 pm, which left us 3 hrs to see all the 4 big waterfalls in Faja, walk to the nearby village, and get coffee at Papadiamandis. Thank you, Armando, you are the best!

Such a pretty waterfall. If you're lucky, you'll see some people canyoning down this 105 meter high waterfall.

And if the weather is nice (which it probably is, since it's the Azores), don't forget your swimming clothes. Since you can swim in the pool underneath it. The stones are a bit slippery, so if you have water shoes, it might be a good idea...

Bring swim suit, you don't want to miss a swim in this waterfall! But the water is rather cold, probably around 16°C. This waterfall is close to the main road, where you can park on the side. It take only 5 minutes to reach it. Worth visiting even during overcast weather, where we had this waterfall all...
