O Museu Municipal de Penafiel é tão ou mais interessante por dentro como o próprio edifício em si! A obra de restauro esteve a cargo de Fernando Távora, tendo no entanto este falecido sem ter finalizado a obra, tendo sido o seu filho Bernardo Távora quem finalizou a obra de restauro. O dia em que efetuei a visita ao Museu Municipal de Penafiel foi um domingo e estava inserido num grupo em que tivemos uma visita guiada a qual foi extremamente interessante! Parabéns à nossa guia! Visite vai ficar apaixonado!

We went for the Castro de Mozhino display, but we liked the other exhibits also a lot. The museum is not large but has well displayed items. Well worth the two euros.

Sem dúvida um dos Museus mais interessantes e bem estruturados da região do Porto e porventura até mesmo a nível nacional. Com diversas secções cobrindo aspectos tão relevantes do território como arqueologia, ofícios tradicionais, terra e água (que nos leva a uma pequena viagem pelo Tâmega e Douro) é um ponto de visita "obrigatório" em Penafiel. Senão mesmo uma forte razão para visitar esta cidade que se ergue no território atravessado por diversos rios afluentes do Douro. Fica a sugestão. São cerca de 40m de comboio...
